T.L. Companies amendment bill

On March 26, 2024, South Africa’s National Council of Provinces (NCOP) approved the final versions of the Companies Amendment Bills, 2023. These bills bring changes to the Companies Act of 2008 and were previously passed by the National Assembly in November 2023. Now, the bills are on their way to the President for final approval. This marks the end of a long legislative process that started in August 2023, but the discussions and drafts have been in the works since as early as 2018.
